Eduard 1:48 Ilyushin Il-28T seat harness STEEL are color-printed photo-etched steel belts for a model of the torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Color-printed photo-etched seat harness belts from the STEEL range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for a model of the Ilyushin Il-28T torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory. The steel used instead of the usual brass is thinner and springier: the belts are easier to shape, sag naturally and sit faithfully on the crew seats. The printing covers the colors of the webbing and the detail of the buckles, so the laborious painting falls away.
The Ilyushin Il-28 was a Soviet jet frontline bomber of the late 1940s, built in large numbers and widespread in a number of countries. The Il-28T version was intended for naval aviation and carried torpedo armament for attacks on surface targets. The multi-man crew had stations in the glazed nose, the pilot's cockpit and the tail gun position, so you will find a use for the belts on several seats at once.
Separate the belts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface. Before fitting, bend them lightly over a rounded edge, for example a brush handle, so that they follow the shape of the seat and do not look stiff. Glue them with tiny drops of cyanoacrylate. Do the fitting before the cockpit is closed and the canopies are seated, because fitting them afterward is practically impossible on a closed fuselage. Do not lacquer over the printing.
This is an accessory for modelers: neither the kit the set is intended for nor glue is included in the package.
