Responsibility details are not available.
This item belongs among genre figures, that is among subjects that do not depict combat but an everyday moment outside it. A soldier is washing under an improvised shower in the field conditions of Southeast Asia. Such a motif will give a diorama a story and at the same time explain the setting, because showering in the open belonged to rear as well as forward bases. Behind the set stands DEF Model, a brand long focused on supplementary figures in 1:35.
A figure without a complete uniform is a challenge as well as an opportunity for a modeler. Exposed skin forms a large surface on which the quality of the painting shows, and at the same time it clearly sets the figure apart from the surrounding hardware. The scene is best completed with small things that make sense: a water container, a wooden grating or equipment laid aside on a crate.
Skin calls for more than one shade. Start from a muted base, add a warmer tone on the face and the forearms and a cooler one into the shadows. A wet surface can be suggested with a thin layer of gloss varnish in selected places only; a sheen over the whole figure looks unnatural. A base with the shower calls for a firm anchoring, so think it through before you seat the figure.
The figure is sold without paint.
