This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter captures the Chinese J-7 fighter in the J-7C and J-7D versions in 1:48 scale. The model reproduces the slender fuselage with its circular nose intake, the delta wing and the finely engraved surface, and it is intended to be glued and painted.
The J-7 is a Chinese single-engine fighter derived from the Soviet concept of the MiG-21, with a delta wing and a circular nose intake with a shock cone. The J-7C and J-7D versions are among the later variants of the type with further changes to the equipment. The aircraft served with the People's Liberation Army Air Force and was built in many variants.
On the plastic use liquid cement. Finish the cockpit and the nose gear bay before you close the fuselage. A primer coat, an airbrush for even coverage and a varnish compatible with the paint used under the decals are recommended. The engraved panel detail stands out once a thin wash is applied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
