The Hauler 1:48 photo-etched set of cooling grilles for the Jagdtiger tank destroyer is a partial accessory for a plastic kit you have already bought, not a model. It deals with a single but very visible item at the rear of the vehicle.

An accessory of photo-etched metal aimed solely at the grilles over the engine compartment of the plastic kit of the vehicle given in the name of the product. The set does not hold the kit. It is made by the Czech brand Hauler.
On armored vehicles the cooling grilles are one of the few places where the difference between plastic and reality can be told at first glance. On the vehicle it is a thin perforated screen with the space visible beneath it. Injection-molded plastic cannot do that, and the grilles on kits are therefore engraved or blind. A photo-etched replacement is thin, has real openings and creates an impression of depth that cannot be imitated any other way. It is at the same time the quickest way of moving a model on visibly, because it concerns a small area and calls for no rebuilding.
First remove or sand the original plastic grilles down flat, or the new grille will sit high. For the effect to work, it is advisable to create a dark space under the grille: paint the area beneath it matte black, glue a piece of dark foil in there, or add a bulkhead of your own. Degrease the metal and apply a primer. Paint thinly, ideally with an airbrush and in several light coats, so that the openings do not fill with paint. A thick coat from a brush will fill the grille in and the whole effect disappears. At the end a fine dust in the hollows helps, because grilles in service are always dirty.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which is not included in the package. It is supplied unpainted; glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
