This is a pre-painted three-dimensional instrument panel of colored resin, not an aircraft kit. The accessory is meant for models of the two-seat JAS 39B Gripen in 1:48 scale and replaces the empty instrument panel with a faithfully painted one with displays and imitated gloss on the glasses.

The real subject

The Saab JAS 39 Gripen is a Swedish lightweight multirole fighter of canard layout. The two-seat B version has a lengthened fuselage with a second cockpit and serves above all for training and for duties that call for two crew members, while keeping the combat capability of the single-seat version.

Use and fitting

• Separate the part from its carrier frame and glue it in place of the original panel.
• Super glue (cyanoacrylate) is ideal; modeling PVA glue can be used as well.
• The surface is finished; neither the displays nor the dials have to be painted in.
