A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This set of finely cast resin from the Quickboost (Aires) brand replaces the exhaust manifolds of the German Junkers Ju 87D/G Stuka dive bomber in 1:48 scale. These are the late versions of the machine, among which the G variant was renowned as a tank buster with external cannon. The parts from the box tend to be simplified in this area and with solid mouths; the resin replaces them with a sharper shape and fine texture.
The exhausts sit along the sides of the engine right in the line of sight, and how they are rendered strongly affects the final impression. The casting captures the shape of the individual exhaust elbows more faithfully than plastic, and on some pieces it has suggested drilled-out mouths as well. Once painted in metallic and rusty shades with light weathering, the area around the engine looks realistic and alive.
