A resin detail set for experienced modelers, intended for L-39 Albatros models in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory: accurate castings of FOD (Foreign Object Damage) intake covers, which are fitted over the engine intakes on the ground against dirt and foreign objects getting in.
With the covers fitted, a model takes on the look of an Albatros parked and being serviced on the ramp. The resin parts faithfully imitate the soft plugs of the side intakes, complete with the straps and Remove Before Flight lettering. The set suits dioramas and ground support scenes.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand it with your airways protected. The covers are usually painted a bright red and completed with straps and tapes for the remove before flight effect.
This is a resin accessory set, not a complete kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
