Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American battleship USS Missouri (BB-63) in 1:700 scale from Tamiya, from the Waterline Series. The model has the hull at waterline level, three main-caliber gun turrets, a broken-down superstructure and secondary as well as anti-aircraft armament. A name plate is enclosed for display.
USS Missouri belongs to the Iowa class, the last generation of American fast battleships. Her main armament consisted of nine 406 mm guns in three turrets. The ship wrote herself indelibly into history: it was on her deck in Tokyo Bay that the Japanese surrender was signed, which brought the Second World War to an end. Missouri also served in the Korean War and, after modernization, returned to service as late as the end of the 20th century.
Join the hull to the deck carefully and clean up the joints. Lay down the basic gray shade with an airbrush, set the wooden deck apart and pick it out with a fine wash in the gaps. The fine railings and radars can be replaced with a photo-etched set (not included in the package). You will display the model on a stand or in a diorama with a water surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
