The set of the LooK range from the Czech maker Eduard brings a 3D-printed instrument panel colored straight from the factory, supplemented with photo-etched steel seat belts. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that lifts the cockpit of a Lockheed P-38J Lightning model in 1:48 scale.
The instrument panel is printed with modern 3D technology with faithful raised structure of the dials and instruments and is painted at the factory, so the slow hand painting of the dial faces falls away. It is supplemented by steel seat belts, which thanks to their greater stiffness hold their shape and look more realistic than paper or soft photo-etched versions.
Separate the parts carefully from the carrier, degrease them and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The colored elements only need gently accenting with a light wash or knocking back. The steel belts can be formed with tweezers so that they drape naturally over the seat.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
