An accessory set of exhaust nozzles for a model of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird is an American two-seat reconnaissance aircraft built for flight at great speed and great altitude. You will know it by the elongated fuselage with its side chines, the pair of massive engine nacelles on the wing and the dark finish to which the machine owes its nickname. The rear part of the nacelles with the exhaust nozzles is a conspicuous place on a model, the first one the eye slides to.
Accessory parts for the exhaust nozzles of an SR-71 model in 1:48 scale. The set deals with one particular place on the model, so it sits well alongside further accessories and alongside your own modifications of the kit. Which kit the parts are intended for and how the mating surfaces are adjusted, if at all, are given in the manufacturer's instructions; photographs of the real machine are a guide as well.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement will not hold on them; use cyanoacrylate glue. Cut off surplus material with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Apply the metal shades of the nozzles in thin coats and grade them, because a uniform surface gives a flat impression; a darker glaze then brings out the fine shapes.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
