A resin and 3D-printed wheel set for the American LTV A-7 Corsair II light attack aircraft. It is NOT an airplane model but an accessory that replaces the landing gear wheels of the base plastic kit with more faithful castings. The wheels usually have fully rendered rims, brake units and separate tires with a tread pattern. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The LTV A-7 Corsair II was an American subsonic light attack aircraft for carrier and land use, derived from the F-8 Crusader fighter. It was deployed above all against ground targets and was marked by a large weapons load and good range.
Cut the parts off the casting blocks and wash the mold release residue away. The tires can be lightly sanded where they touch the ground for a realistic impression of load. Separate the rims, brakes and tires by color, bring the tread pattern out with a dry brush and add a dusty patina.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and, as an aftermarket set, calls for a more experienced hand. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
