M.B. Mk 4BS ejection seat for the F3H-2 Demon 1:48 (Aires) is a resin detail set of a seat for a model of the American McDonnell F3H-2 Demon carrier fighter. It is not a model, but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set in 1:48 scale for more experienced modelers. It is not an airplane model, but an accessory: a faithfully cast Martin-Baker Mk 4BS ejection seat for the late version of the American McDonnell F3H-2 Demon carrier fighter. The set replaces the simplified plastic seat on the base kit.
The F3H-2 Demon was an American single-seat carrier fighter of the 1950s operated by the Navy. Its late version used a British Martin-Baker ejection seat of the Mk 4 series. The seat is clearly visible in an open or glazed cockpit, so a resin casting with its fine rendering of the frame, the padding and the harness raises the realism of the cockpit far above a bare plastic part.
Before gluing, wash the part free of mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting block and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue. Bring out the harness and the details with paint and a fine wash. Try the fit in the cockpit dry. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
This is a resin detail set for more experienced modelers, not a complete model. A matching base kit is needed to use it; paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
