A plastic kit model of the American medium tank M4 Sherman in its early production configuration in 1:48 scale from Tamiya, from the Military Miniatures range. The model captures the characteristic features of early production – the cast front transmission cover and the hull layout of that period.
The M4 Sherman was the main American medium tank of the Second World War, built in large numbers and fielded on every Allied front. It stood out for its reliability, easy maintenance and mass availability. The early production versions carried the older types of cast or welded hull and turret parts, which went on developing during the war.
Finish the running gear and the lower details before you close up the hull. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, give the metal surfaces a good primer and spray with an airbrush. Olive green shades suit the Sherman; you will create the patina with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects, and pick out the wear on the edges with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
