This is not a vehicle kit but a 3D-printed resin set of protective guards for the headlights and periscopes of models of the American M5 and M8 light armored vehicles in 1:48 scale. The faithfully rendered mesh replaces simplified plastic parts or adds what the base kit lacks. The manufacturer is the Czech company Special Hobby.
The protective cages over the headlights and periscopes are small but conspicuous details that give an armored vehicle an authentic military look. 3D printing makes it possible to capture thin bars and fine mesh that would be far too coarse in plastic. The set therefore raises the realism of the model with a minimum of work.
Carefully separate the delicate parts from the print supports, wash them and clean them up (protect your airways). They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint them along with the rest of the vehicle, then bring them out with a wash and a light dry brush to pick out the edges.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
