F-111 mask set 1:48 BASIC, New Ware

A mask set from the Czech maker New Ware for models of the F-111 in 1:48 scale, covering a whole range of versions (the A, the FB-111, the C, the D/E and the electronic EF-111). The masks are machine-cut from kabuki tape (a thin yellow washi) that follows the shape of the frames, holds a sharp edge and leaves no adhesive behind when taken off. The BASIC level covers the outer masking of the glazing and the wheels.

What the mask set contains

Use and tips

Degrease the surface and free it of dust. Choose the masks for the version you are building, lay them on and press the edges down, so that no paint runs under them. Spray thin coats and take the mask off shortly after it dries.

The real subject

The F-111 is an American two-seat tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing. It served for attacks in any weather; the electronic EF-111 version provided the jamming of enemy radars.
