Pre-cut self-adhesive masks for painting a model of the MiG-19S fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit, nor are these parts that would change the shape of the model. With this manufacturer the EXPERT level is the widest of the ranges offered: it deals with considerably more areas than the basic variant and is meant for a model that is to be taken to the last detail.
The higher level pays off on models headed for a contest or for a place of honor in the display case, and anywhere you count on a more demanding paint scheme. The difference against the smallest set is not in the quality of the cut but in the number of areas that someone has traced out for you in advance. The time saved goes into the work that really shows on the model.
The MiG-19 was the first Soviet production fighter to reach supersonic speed in level flight. A pair of jet engines with afterburners gave it an excellent rate of climb and its heavy cannon armament made it a dangerous opponent. The S version was the main day fighter variant, with an all-moving horizontal tail. The type served in a number of countries and became the starting point for later licensed production.
Go through the larger set before building and assign the parts in advance to the places they belong to. Work in groups and do not lift the backing off the whole sheet at once. When spraying metallic shades, choose a smooth gloss base and mask matte and metallic areas separately. Keep the leftovers of the sheet for small masking jobs on other models.
The package contains masking parts only; the model and the paints are not part of it. The masks are cut for a specific kit of this type, so check that they match your own model.
