A decal accessory set of the Eduard brand for a model of the McDonnell F-4C Phantom II aircraft in 1:48 scale, number 3DL48202.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-4C is the version of the Phantom for the US Air Force, derived from the naval form. The crew consists of two men sitting one behind the other under a pair of canopies, the pilot in front and the weapon systems officer behind. The aircraft is recognized by the drooped tips of the horizontal stabilizers, the upturned outer wing panels and the bulky nose with the radome. In 1:48 scale a proper model arises and both cockpits one behind the other are clearly visible on it, especially if you leave the canopies open.
This is a decal set. It adds to the model the elements that are applied to the surface, not parts glued on like plastic components. Which parts of the model the set covers and how to proceed when applying it is described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The sheet is not immersed in water. With a damp sponge and a drop of dish soap, wet only the backing paper under the element, lift it off with tweezers and seat it with PVA glue (white glue); the maker does not recommend super glue, and decal softener attacks the printed layer. The base has to be smooth, dry and degreased. Finish and fit both cockpits before you glue the fuselage halves to each other, because with small elements you will not get into a finished fuselage. Put the canopies on only at the end and protect them from fingerprints.
For modelers who are building a Phantom with the canopies open and want legible instruments in both cockpits without tedious painting with a brush. Unless stated otherwise, this is a separate accessory set and the kit, paints and glue are supplied separately.
