An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Bf 109G-6/AS fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The model is meant to be assembled and painted. Eduard offers this variant in an equipment level that includes pre-colored photo-etched parts, a painting mask and several marking options.
The G-6/AS version was fitted with a supercharger with a larger impeller diameter for better performance at high altitude. It combined later Bf 109G features, such as the broad-blade propeller, modified engine cowlings, the hinged so-called Galland hood and the tall wooden rudder, with the earlier form of the undercarriage and the wing bulges. It was deployed with Luftwaffe units especially in 1944.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the small photo-etched parts with super glue. Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. We recommend a primer base, an airbrush for the soft transitions of the camouflage and a matte varnish under the decals. The enclosed mask makes the sharp framing of the glazing easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
