The smaller variant of the 3D decals for the cockpit of the Mi-17 in 1:48 scale for the Trumpeter kit. A way of getting pre-colored printed instruments into the cabin with a narrower scope.
Responsibility details are not available.
The smaller version covers the interior to a narrower extent than the full set. The printing, the application and the result are nonetheless the same: a pre-colored decal with raised relief that is applied to the plastic parts of the model. The kit is not included in the package.
With 3D decals the preparation of the surface decides more than with ordinary decals. True the area the decal will go onto, spray it with dark paint and polish it with gloss varnish. Cut the sheet only just before use, and always only the piece you are working with, because cut-out pieces are easily lost. Soak briefly, barely until the decal starts to release, and let it rest for a moment on wet paper. Slide it into place over a drop of water so that it can be fine-tuned, and only then press the water out with a cotton bud from the middle. Do not use a decal softener or setter. They would attack the printed resin and spoil the element, and that cannot be taken back.
Keep the unused part of the sheet in its original packaging, in a dry and dark place. Damp does not suit decals and direct sunlight does not suit the colors either. If a sheet has been lying around for a while, check that it works on an edge piece before you touch the main instrument panel.
