Colored three-dimensional cockpit parts for the MiG-25BM on decal backing paper in 1:48 scale for the ICM kit, supplemented with three-dimensionally printed resin parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-25 was a Soviet heavy supersonic aircraft with a pair of trapezoidal fins and large air intakes on the sides of the fuselage. The BM version was intended for attacks on ground radars. The cockpit was single-seat and in 1:48 scale it is clearly visible under the raised canopy.
Colored three-dimensional cockpit parts, that is the instrument panel, the side panels with their controls, the consoles and the seat harness, plus separate three-dimensionally printed resin parts. The parts are printed on decal backing paper and carry a raised relief, while the printed parts add shapes that a flat element cannot capture.
Cut the part out of the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so sand the surface underneath flat, paint it and polish it with a gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 kind. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin.
The printed resin parts are handled differently. Cut their print supports off a little way from the surface, sand the marks smooth, wash the parts and degrease them. They are not made of polystyrene, so join them with super glue and prime them before painting.
Only the set of interior parts with the printed parts is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
