Quickboost 1:48 MiG-29A Fulcrum intake covers is a resin replacement part for refining a model of the Soviet twin-engine fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Resin air intake covers for a model of the Soviet fighter MiG-29A in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail part by the brand Quickboost. Covered intakes match an aircraft standing on the ground and they suit a faithful diorama or a static display of a model.
The MiG-29 (Fulcrum in the NATO code) was a Soviet twin-engine fourth-generation fighter powered by a pair of Klimov RD-33 engines. While taxiing and standing on the ground, the main air intakes were closed and the engines breathed through upper louvers, so that dirt from the runway was not drawn in. This set captures exactly those closed intake covers.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting block with a cutter or a saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Sand with respiratory protection because of the fine resin dust. Before painting, roughen the surface lightly and apply a primer suitable for resin, so that the paint holds well and does not peel anywhere.
This is an accessory for refining a kit, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
