Quickboost 1:48 MiG-3 propeller with a jig is a resin set with a cast propeller and an alignment jig for a model of the Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 high-altitude fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Quickboost, a brand of the Czech maker Aires, brings a faithfully cast propeller for a model of the Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 fighter in 1:48 scale. A practical alignment jig is included that holds the blades at the right angle and spacing, so that the propeller sits exactly once glued. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers, replacing the thicker plastic blades with a crisp casting with the correct section.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 was a Soviet single-engine high-altitude fighter from the beginning of the Second World War, powered by a Mikulin V12 engine. It excelled at great heights, but lost performance and agility at lower levels. It was used mainly in the first years of the war in the defense of Soviet airspace.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Line the blades up in the jig supplied and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Test the fit of the hub dry before painting.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
