The Eduard 1:48 photo-etched set for the landing flaps of the Mitsubishi A6M2 replaces the injection-molded flaps with fine metal and makes it possible to show them lowered. It is an accessory to a kit.

This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is intended for working up the landing flaps on a model of the Japanese carrier-borne Mitsubishi A6M2 fighter in 1:48 scale. The focus is given in the name itself, so unlike general-purpose sets you know what you are dealing with: the flaps on the trailing edge of the wing and their internal structure. It is not a kit but a detail accessory to a model that you obtain separately.
The A6M2 is one of the first production versions of the Japanese carrier-borne fighter, which made its mark above all through its long range and its agility at a low structural weight. It was powered by a radial engine and the aircraft was designed for operation from aircraft carriers. The landing flaps on this type are simple and, when lowered, they reveal a space with stiffeners and runs — exactly the detail that cannot be produced in injection-molded plastic, because it would have to be disproportionately thick.
First decide whether you want the flaps lowered; if so, reckon on cutting the original plastic parts away and sanding the trailing edge of the wing. Cut the photo-etched parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface and make the folds on a bender or between razor blades. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin. Degrease the metal before painting and seal it with a primer. Paint the inside of the flaps and the space in the wing before you glue the flaps on — once fitted, they are hard to reach.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Before you buy, check the match with the model you are building.
