This is an add-on resin set from the Brassin line by Eduard, not an airplane model. The set brings a finely rendered engine including the parts of the engine bay and is laid out so that the model can be built with the engine cowlings open.
The set replaces the simplified kit solution of the power unit with a richly detailed resin engine. It is intended for models of the American North American P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. The combination of resin and photo-etched parts makes it possible to display the engine section to good effect.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The engine comes into its own with careful painting, a wash in the recesses and gentle dry-brushing of the edges. Apply a primer before painting.
An add-on set in resin (with photo-etched parts), not a model. It does not contain paints or glue.
