This set is NOT a model of a vehicle but a detailed resin accessory intended for models of the Opel Blitz truck in 1:48 scale. The cast wheels replace the plastic parts with more faithful tires with a pronounced tread pattern and cleanly rendered rims. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The wheels of a truck are clearly visible on a finished model, and plastic parts from single-piece molds tend to be simplified. Resin tires have a deeper tread pattern and some are cast with a suggested flattening at the point of contact, which realistically imitates the weight of a standing vehicle. The parts are conceived as a direct replacement.
Wash the wheels free of the mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with superglue (cyanoacrylate); sand with respiratory protection. On military vehicles wheels come out well with a dark gray tire and a patina of dust and mud; separate the rims with a mask or a brush and use pigments on the tread.
This is an add-on set, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
