This is a resin detail set that replaces the landing gear bay on the plastic kit of the P-40M fighter. The bay is cast as a faithful unit with inner structure, stiffeners and definition that injection-molded plastic usually does not capture. The parts match the M version of this design line.
The P-40 is an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War, also known to British and allied users under the name Kittyhawk. The M version is among the later production machines of the line. The aircraft was committed to a number of fronts and was built in large numbers.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with your airways protected. The bay opening in the fuselage or the wing usually has to be adjusted for an exact fit; paint the inside and bring it out with a wash before closing it up.
