This is a resin detail set that replaces the landing gear bays on the plastic kit of the North American P-51 Mustang fighter in the D version. The bays are cast with accurate inner structure, stiffeners and runs of piping that injection-molded plastic usually does not capture. The parts match the D version with the bubble canopy.
The North American P-51 Mustang is an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War, famous for its long range. The D version, with its bubble canopy and better view, became the most widespread variant of the type. The aircraft escorted bomber formations over long distances.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with your airways protected. The bay openings in the wing usually have to be adjusted for an exact fit; paint the inside and bring it out with a wash before closing it up.
