A resin detail set, not an aircraft model. The set faithfully casts the landing gear bays of the Panavia Tornado combat aircraft in the IDS version, with worked-out structure of walls, stiffeners and lines. It replaces the simplified plastic bays and raises the realism of the landing gear section considerably. It is intended for kits of this aircraft in 1:48 scale.
The Panavia Tornado is a European combat aircraft with a variable-sweep wing, developed jointly by Great Britain, Germany and Italy. The IDS version was intended for strike and reconnaissance duties at low level in all weathers. Its two-man crew and the variable geometry of the wing are among its hallmarks.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue from the mold. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary plastic cement. Apply a base primer before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
