A resin figure from CMK representing a British fighter pilot of 1942 in 1:48 scale. The figure is cast in resin and complemented by a small photo-etched part (the belt of the jacket). It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory that brings a diorama or a scene beside a model of an RAF fighter to life.
It portrays a pilot of the Royal Air Force (RAF) in a relaxed stance, with the folds of the clothing and the flying gear typical of 1942 faithfully rendered: a leather jacket, a life vest and further details. It helps to give a model a sense of scale and a human dimension.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts and carefully separate the casting blocks; glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do the sanding with respiratory protection. Apply a primer, paint the face and hands in flesh tones and keep the clothing in subdued khaki and brown shades; do the final accentuation with a wash and a dry brush.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
