On a model in 1:48 scale a two-seat cockpit is an extensive area right under the clear canopy. A resin tub brings substantially sharper detail to the instrument panels, the side consoles and the seats than injection-molded plastic does, and on a two-seat machine twice over, as both positions are visible. The set makes sense above all on a model you are going to display with an open canopy.
Reckon with work on the kit: the inner walls of the fuselage usually have to be thinned and the tub tried dry repeatedly. Proceed in small steps, as material taken away cannot be put back. Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, cut the casting blocks off with a saw, sand wet and with your airways protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint and assemble the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up: a primer coat, a dark shade of a modern interior, a wash into the recesses, a dry brush on the edges and only at the end the picking out of the displays and labels.
This is not a model kit. The set is intended to complete a separately sold plastic kit; the base model, glue and paints are not part of the package.
