The P-47N Thunderbolt TFace mask 1:48 from Eduard is a double-sided die-cut mask of kabuki paper for painting the canopy frames of a Republic P-47N model from the outside and from the inside.
Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Republic P-47N Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. The TFace version brings masks for both sides of the canopy, so you paint the frames from the outside and from the inside. It is not a model nor a decal, but a set of precisely die-cut masks of yellow Japanese kabuki paper.
The TFace designation means a double set of masks, one for the outer and the other for the inner side of the glazing. The cockpit interior thus gets the right color of frames, visible through the glass, which markedly raises fidelity with an open canopy. Circular masks for the wheel hubs are usually included as well.
Degrease the surfaces, lift the masks off with tweezers and press them precisely onto the frames, pressing the edges down because of paint creeping under them. Usually you spray the inner color of the frames first and mask the outside once it has dried. Spray in thin coats and take the mask off while the paint is still fresh.
