A masking set 1:48 Rockwell OV-10 Bronco for the extensively glazed cockpit of this observation aircraft. The set is intended for ICM kits and covers both sides of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Anyone who has ever masked the cockpit of a Bronco knows why this set exists. The observation aircraft has glazing drawn deep forward and to the sides, and there are incomparably more frames on it than on an ordinary fighter. The set is an accessory to Bronco kits from ICM in 1:48 scale, is no kit itself, and according to the name it contains shapes for the outer and the inner side.
The Bronco was created for counter-insurgency work: two turboprop units, tail booms, a short nacelle and a crew seated in tandem behind an exceptionally large area of glass. The view down and forward was a substantial part of the point of the aircraft, because the crew observed and directed. The machine served from the 1960s for many decades, went through several conflicts and can be seen in varied camouflage and in striking markings.
With so many panels it pays to work systematically: go from the largest areas to the smallest and do not lay further shapes on before the previous ones are pressed down. Apply the paint perpendicular to the frames, otherwise it gets under the edge. Before removal, look the model over against the light so that you know where the layer is thicker, and carefully score such a place with the tip of a scalpel.
