Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for a plastic model of the American S-3 Viking carrier anti-submarine aircraft. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The Lockheed S-3 Viking is an American carrier anti-submarine aircraft from the Cold War era. It was powered by a pair of turbofan engines under a high-mounted wing and carried its crew in a multi-seat cockpit with extensive glazing. It served above all to find and destroy submarines, for reconnaissance and later also for aerial refueling from the decks of aircraft carriers.
Degrease the extensive cockpit glazing. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them one by one on the individual panes, working from one corner on large areas so that no bubbles form. Fine-tune the transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
