This set from the Brassin modeling range brings finely rendered wheels in 1:48 scale for the Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk transport helicopter. The resin castings have a faithful tread and detail on the rims and the hubs, which raises the level of the model compared with the plastic parts from the kit; the wheels tend to be rendered with a slight weighted look for a realistic appearance.

Material and building

• The wheels are made of resin; wash the mold release agent off them and separate them from the casting blocks.
• Sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection and glue with cyanoacrylate glue.
• Spray the tires a flat black-gray and set the rims apart in color.
• Fit the wheels so that any weighted effect points perpendicular to the ground.
