A resin set of precisely cast wing cannon barrels for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire F Mk.22 fighter in 1:48 scale. The thin and straight resin barrels replace the less faithful plastic parts and raise the realism of the armament. The set is meant specifically for the Mk.22 version. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory.
The Supermarine Spitfire F Mk.22 was one of the last production versions of the British fighter, powered by a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. Its wing armament was made up of four 20 mm cannon. Against the Mk.24 the Mk.22 had partial differences in equipment and in the installation of the armament.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. The thin barrels are fragile, so handle them carefully. Once painted in a metallic shade they look very realistic.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
