The Su-27 is a Soviet heavy fighter with a pair of turbofan engines housed in separate nacelles at the rear. The Flanker B designation belongs to the single-seat production version. It is the rear end that is among the most striking places on this aircraft: both nozzles are far apart, clearly visible from the sides and from behind, and their interior can be seen into in depth from an ordinary distance.
A kit usually makes the nozzle up from parts whose wall stays needlessly thick at the outer rim, and the petals of the outer shroud tend to be only hinted at. The replacement nozzles are separate parts with a thin rim and a finer surface, so once fitted the mouth of the engine reads as open and the depth shows as it should. The set is intended for 1:48 scale and is an accessory to the kit, which it does not replace.
The parts are not polystyrene, ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on them, and cyanoacrylate is used instead. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down carefully, so that the thin rim is not spoiled. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Paint and shade the interior of the nozzle before you seat it in the fuselage; afterward you will not get a brush in there. Apply the metallic shades in thin layers and graduate the shading toward the mouth, where the shroud tends to be most heat-discolored. The particular procedure for seating it into the kit is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The model, the paints, the glue and the tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
