A photo-etched set of the Zoom line from Eduard for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XII fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Spitfire Mk.XII was the first production version of the Spitfire with a Griffon engine. Unlike the earlier versions, which were built for combat at great altitudes, this machine was tuned for fighting low over the ground, where it had the upper hand against the fast raids of German fighters. The longer nose with its prominent bulge over the engine accessories and the reworked cooling system give the Mk.XII a different silhouette at first glance from the older versions.
A fret of photo-etched metal parts from the narrower Zoom line, which the Eduard brand carries alongside its more extensive frets. Zoom does not mean a different scale but a smaller choice of parts aimed at the places that are most visible on a finished model. It suits when you want to lift a model quickly or when you are still getting used to working with metal. Which parts the fret carries and which kit it is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard support; twisting will bend the metal and it will never straighten again. Make the fold in a bending tool or over the edge of a steel rule in one movement. Degrease the metal before gluing. It is glued with super glue or with two-part resin, always in a small amount, because an excess can no longer be removed without damaging the surroundings. Cut the plastic part off the kit only once you have the metal replacement ready and tried dry.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
