A resin detail part in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Aires, the Quickboost range. This is not an airplane kit but a set of cockpit seats with faithfully cast seat belts that brings the interior to life better than bare plastic parts. The set is meant to be built into the matching plastic model.
The North American T-28 Trojan was an American two-seat trainer with a radial engine, in service from the turn of the 1940s and 1950s. The pilots sat in tandem and were secured by shoulder and lap belts. Clearly shaped seats with belts are among the prominent details under a glazed canopy.
First wash the mold release residue off the part, carefully cut off the casting block and bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Try the fit dry before gluing and adjust the surrounding plastic if needed. Spray the surface to match the rest of the model so that the part blends into the overall finish.
