The TBM Avenger, built by Grumman and General Motors, was an American carrier torpedo bomber that became the backbone of the strike squadrons of the US Navy in the Pacific. It was powered by a powerful radial engine and the machine was famous for its rugged construction and its internal bomb bay. Faithful exhausts at the radial engine underline the character of this large machine.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the mold release agent from the mold. Separate the stubs from the casting blocks by cutting, not by snapping, and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Sand the resin with respiratory protection or wet, because resin dust is harmful to health. Spray the exhausts in a dark metallic shade and bring out the burnt and rusty tones with a wash and pigments.
It is supplied as an unglued and unpainted resin set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
