An injected plastic kit of the legendary American carrier-borne Vought Corsair fighter in the F4U-2 version in 1:48 scale. The model by Hobby Boss is supplied unassembled and unpainted and includes the transparent parts of the canopy.
The F4U Corsair, with its characteristic inverted gull wing, was one of the most successful fighters of the US Navy and Marine Corps in the Second World War. The F4U-2 version was a night fighter conversion fitted with an onboard radar whose radome was mounted on the right wing. It was one of the first American carrier-borne night fighters deployed in the Pacific.
We recommend working the cockpit out in detail before closing the fuselage and fitting the glazing only after the interior has been sprayed. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and use a primer and an airbrush for the characteristic naval shades. Accentuate the panel lines with a light wash, and at the end add a matte or gloss varnish depending on the finish you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
