An accessory set for the naval Westland Lynx HMA8 in 1:48 scale is the second of a pair of sets that add small external details to a helicopter under construction.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set extends a plastic model of the naval Lynx with the small equipment that appears around the fuselage and near it on the real machine. According to the name it is the second part, so it forms the counterpart to the first set from the same manufacturer and to the combined big box. You are buying the accessories alone; you need the helicopter kit separately.
The Westland Lynx HMA.8 is the shipborne variant of the British Lynx, meant for operations from frigates and destroyers. Against the army versions it has wheeled landing gear in place of skids, a folding tail boom for hangaring aboard a small ship and a rotating sensor turret under the nose. The folding rotor head is characteristic too, along with the equipment for work over the sea, where the machine served for reconnaissance, for action against surface targets and for rescue duties.
Fit the small parts only once the basic coat on the fuselage is done, so that they do not disappear under the paint. Degrease the mating surfaces, level them with fine abrasive paper and secure the joints with super glue in small amounts. A light accenting wash at the end brings the fine relief out.
What you are getting is equipment for detailing, not a finished or an unassembled helicopter.
