It serves to enliven dioramas, display cases and scenes around models, where it adds credible period detail. The small parts are meant to be painted to match the real thing.
British ammunition boxes were standard equipment at airfields, artillery positions and supply units during the Second World War. The sturdy containers served to carry and store rounds and ancillary items and make a rewarding accessory for military and aviation dioramas alike.
Clean the parts of any casting block remnants and degrease them. Bond the smaller parts with super glue. For a realistic look, a primer coat, an olive or khaki shade on the boxes and a following emphasis of the edges and stencils with a wash and a dry brush work well.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
