Zlin Z-126/Z-226 Trener landing flaps 1:48 is a photo-etched brass set from Eduard for a faithful rendering of the flaps on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched set in brass aimed at the landing flaps, not an aircraft model. It replaces the thick-walled plastic flaps with fine photo-etched parts that allow the flaps to be shown in the lowered position with a realistic thickness and texture. The parts are in bare brass and are bent and glued before painting. The scale is 1:48 and the set is meant for plastic models of the Zlin Z-126 and Z-226 Trener trainer.
The Zlin Trener is a family of Czechoslovak training and aerobatic aircraft of the 1950s. An all-metal structure and dependable inline engines made it a popular machine with flying clubs and in basic military training; the type saw a number of variants and a long service career.
Cut away the matching plastic parts, bend the brass flaps gently on a bending tool and glue them with super glue. Degrease the surface before painting, lay down a primer suited to metal and then spray with an airbrush. Take care that the flaps are at the same angle on both wing halves.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
