1:48 Westland Sea King HC.4 ADVANCED Kabuki Masks is an extended set of painting masks from New Ware for a model of the Sea King HC.4 helicopter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set contains pre-cut painting masks in kabuki paper for a model of the Westland Sea King HC.4 transport helicopter in 1:48 scale. The extended ADVANCED form adds masks for the frames, the wheels and other details beyond the basic masking of the glazing.
The Sea King helicopter has extensive glazing on the pilot's cabin and side windows, and masking these with tape by hand is slow work. Masks in thin kabuki paper seat exactly on the shape of the windows, follow curved surfaces well and leave no adhesive residue once removed. They give sharp and clean boundaries between the glazing and the paint on the fuselage.
Transfer the masks with tweezers and press the edges down carefully before spraying, so that no paint creeps under them. Fill the inside of the frames of the extensive glazing with a piece of tape or with liquid mask. Spray in thin coats; take the masks off while the paint is still lightly touch dry.
This is a set of painting masks, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
