Diorama Texture No. 4, Fine Brick Rubble

A ready-made texture paste from VMS (Vantage Modelling Solutions) for creating a realistic surface of fine brick rubble on dioramas and bases. Compared with the coarse version it contains finer grit, which faithfully imitates crushed masonry, dust and finer building debris. It is not paint and not a kit but a scenic material.

Use

  • Apply the paste with a spatula or a brush to the base and model the relief of the rubble.
  • To anchor it firmly, lay down and flood it with modeling PVA (white) glue.
  • The natural shade looks realistic; it can be repainted with acrylics, a wash and pigments as needed.
  • Tools and fresh residues wash off with water as long as the paste has not dried.

FAQ

This version contains finer grit for crushed masonry and dusty debris, while the coarse version has larger fragments.

You do not have to, as it has a natural shade. It can be repainted with acrylics, a wash and pigments as needed.

Laying it down and flooding it with modeling PVA (white) glue works well.
