The MiG-21F-13 is an early day fighter version, that is a slender machine with a narrow spine and a small cone in the nose intake. In Czechoslovakia it was built under license at Aero Vodochody under the designation S-106. For a modeler what matters most is the shape of the cockpit: on this version the canopy hinges forward and forms one whole with the windscreen, so it is a large continuous clear area with a few narrow frames.
Masks cut from kabuki paper to the shape of the glazing of one particular kit in 1:72 scale. Kabuki is a thin self-adhesive paper with low tack; it gives way to a slightly domed surface and after removal leaves no coating on the clear parts. The set is cut for kits from Kovozavody Prostejov and is the basic Basic level; the Advanced and Expert levels are also made for the same aircraft. What each level contains is given by the manufacturer.
