Cut films for 1:48 scale cover the glazing of the cockpit and the tires of the heavy Chinook helicopter in the A version, and that from both sides.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Chinook rests on a layout with two main rotors one above the other at opposite ends of the fuselage, so it needs no tail rotor for balance and the whole power of both engines goes into lift. The A version was the first production form and its deployment in Southeast Asia brought it a reputation as a machine that can pull a downed helicopter out of the jungle and carry a howitzer as a slung load. The cargo ramp at the rear and the low-set floor made it a type that stays in service to this day.
The glazing of the cockpit is covered from both sides, that is from the inside as well, and discs for the tires belong to it. Interior masking makes sense everywhere the pilots' compartment is visible after assembly, because the frames then look genuine from both views. The films are cut for the kit of the HobbyBoss brand.
The first production form of the Chinook differs from the later ones in the shape of the engine nacelles and in the equipment of the pilots' compartment, which shows on a model mainly around the front glazing. Carefully picked out frames therefore carry a large part of the overall impression on this machine. The glazing here is moreover extensive, so every look from the front will point out careless masking.
Plastic parts and varnishes are not supplied with the films.
