Hexagon nuts with rod and washer 1.5 to 2.5 mm from Decalcas: a set of 204 printed fasteners for detailing car models. This is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 204 miniature hexagon nuts with a through rod and a washer, that is exactly the type of fastening with which mechanical parts, brackets and covers are pulled together on a real car. The elements are made by 3D printing from resin, so they have sharp edges on the hexagon and a legible washer underneath it. It is not a kit and not a replacement part for a particular model but a stock of details that the modeler draws on as needed.
The elements are supplied in five sizes: 42 pieces of 1.5 mm, 42 pieces of 1.75 mm, 40 pieces of 2 mm, 40 pieces of 2.25 mm and 40 pieces of 2.5 mm. The range matches the needs of car and motorcycle models in 1:24 scale, where bolts and nuts are a visible element of the chassis, the engine and the interior.
Cut the parts off their support with a sharp scalpel close to the base, level the surface with a fine file and glue them with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. The printing is so fine that a heavy coat of primer will rather clog the detail: a thin coat of paint is enough. A metallic look works well over a dark base with light dry brushing. Tweezers with fine tips are a necessity when working with elements this small.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
