A white outline of the same machine as in the dark variant, this time for surfaces on which black would be lost. It works splendidly on dark paint, on smoked glazing or on the black-painted frame of a display case.
The Airacobra went into combat with a handicap: it lacked the turbocharged engine the original design had counted on, and at high altitudes it therefore fell behind its opponents. At low levels, however, it was a fast and well-armed machine with a fixed battery on the fuselage axis. That is precisely where the type found its field of action: in the Solomon Islands, over the Mediterranean and above all on the Eastern Front, where it was among the favorite fighters and several pilots achieved remarkable results with it. In all, over nine thousand examples left the production lines, which makes the Airacobra one of the most numerously built American fighters of the day.
White will show every speck of dust under the film without mercy, so clean the surface more thoroughly than for a dark motif. Lay it on at room temperature; in frost the adhesive does not hold and the film breaks. Once applied, leave the joint alone for at least a day before you wash the surface for the first time.
