The Plavsky Power Gate is a structure in the shape of an upright gateway, built from plastic parts much like any other model. In itself it represents neither a machine nor a character; it works as a background and a frame into which finished builds are placed.
The sprues carry the segments of the arch and of the base, usually in a combination of opaque and translucent plastic. The translucent parts give the whole the impression of a glowing element even without being lit from within, and lighting from behind strengthens the effect. The assembly is short and calls for neither glue nor experience of painting.
Translucent plastic is more sensitive to fingerprints and to common thinners, so work with it through a cloth and apply paint to it only after a test on an offcut. A tall slender structure needs a firm and level base; if the gate wobbles, fine-tune the seating of the base by packing it rather than by tightening the joints. The short build makes it an easy addition to the models you already have at home, and it suits as a small gift for someone who collects kits and is looking for something to round the collection out. Even a younger builder can manage the assembly under adult supervision.
